Warranty Policy


Terms and Conditions

We built our reputation on quality, performance product and we stand behind it.  If you experience a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship Olycom warrants your media converters, optical video converters, and fiber switches for one year from date of purchase of the product, and we will repair or replace the product at no charge.  Olycom has sole discretion to determine manufacturer's defects.  Fiber passive accessories including fiber cable, patch cords, fiber adaptors and attenuators are not covered under the one year warranty policy

The customer is responsible for delivering the defective product to the designated RMA Address for repair or replacement.

Olycom will repair or replace a product that was found to be defective by Olycom during the warranty period at its discretion.

The sole responsibility of Olycom under this warranty shall be limited to repair of this product, or replacement thereof, at the sole discretion of Olycom

All RMA items shipped to Olycom must be freight prepaid.

The repaired products would be returned within 1 month after receiving the return materials. Freight charge should be paid by the sender

Any RMA items shipped to Olycom which are out of warranty will not be returned to the customer under any circumstances.


Limitation of Warranty

Product warranties remain valid provided the product was properly installed and used. Defects, malfunctions, or failures of the warranted product caused by damage resulting from acts of God (such as floods, fire, etc.), environmental and atmospheric disturbances, other external forces such as power line disturbances, host computer malfunction, plugging the board in under power, or incorrect cabling, and damage caused by misuse, abuse, and unauthorized alteration or repair, are not warranted. A product will not be warranted in the following situations:


●The product has been found to be defective after the warranty period has expired.

●The product has been subjected to misuse, abuse, or unauthorized repair, whether by accident or other cause. Such conditions will be determined by Olycom at its sole and unfettered discretion.

●The warranty for customized and ODM products is defined by contract, and is excluded from this policy.

●The product is an accessory not carrying the Olycom brand name. In this case, warranties are limited to the warranty provided by the original manufacturer of the accessory. Examples of such products andaccessories are power adaptors and cables.

●The product has been updated, reworked, or improperly tested by the customer, or by a third party at the request of the customer.

●The product is damaged beyond repair due to natural disasters, such as by lightning, flood, earthquake, et
